Dewan Pimpinan Nasional Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia (DPN PERADI) dan Mabes Polri membuat kesepahaman untuk saling menghormati masing-masing pihak sebagai aparat penegak hukum. Keduanya diatur dan tunduk pada Undang-Undang Advokat dan Undang-Undang Kepolisian Republik Indonesia. Salah satu wujud saling menghormati itu adalah penyampaian surat panggilan melalui DPN PERADI jika ada advokat yang dipanggil polisi baik sebagai saksi maupun tersangka.
